Nsala Private Game Reserve comprises 5000 hectares of traverse comprising mixed bushveld interspersed with dry riverbeds and riverine vegetation. Nsala Safari Camp offers an unsurpassed game viewing opportunities in a concession considered a sanctuary for wildlife, and is also home to the big 5.
The camp is perched on an elevated area, overlooking a small waterhole frequented by elephants. A lounge, boma and viewing deck provide the perfect place to unwind and soak up the safari splendour of the Nsala Private Game Reserve.
And when the searing temperatures of summer hit the landscape, the sparkling blue splash pool provides the perfect respite from the heat.
Decor in the main area is a flood of muted khakis, a mix of wood grains and terracotta colour furnishings to add warmth. The colours reflects the natural hues of the bushveld in a simple and subdued way.

Nsala Safari Camp is located in a prime wildlife area in the Nsala Private Game Reserve.
Nsala is cocooned by the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and the Kruger National Park.
The Greater Kruger is a collection of private, unfenced nature reserves situated on the western border of the Kruger National Park.
All game moves freely throughout the region, but the reserves in the Greater Kruger are private.
This means that guests get an unbeatable safari experience with first hand knowledge from experienced guides.
The camp is located about 60 km drive from Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport and is an easy self-drive from Johannesburg.
Guests access the camp via the Timbavati/Klaserie (Enkhulu Gate) Gate.

There are 3 options for getting to camp. For detailed driving directions please consult the driving directions document.
1) Self-drive to the camp. Once in Hoedspruit, head through the Timbavati Control gate, and make your way passed the Eastgate Airport and towards the Timbavati/Klaserie Enkhulu Gate. Sign in and drive straight until the end of the tarred road. It is roughly 45 km until the end of the tarred road. Follow the Nsala signs for approximately 3 km on a dirt road until you reach the camp.
2) Fly from Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town to either of Hoedspruit or Nelspruit Airports and then arrange a road transfer to the camp through our reservations office.
3) There is a daily shuttle service from Pretoria/Johannesburg/OR Tambo that departs approx 6am and arrives at the Timbavati Gate at approx 1pm. Return shuttle also available and both transfers can be booked through our reservations office.
